We are happy to announce that the first ever TEDx event in Santa Barbara – TEDxSB – will be held in the first half of 2010. While we have not finalized details yet, we wanted to get the news out so that potential speakers and attendees to this invitation-only event can let us know of their interest in attending. The event is capped at 100 attendees, so if you have a desire to attend, we strongly suggest that you fill out the form on the “Attend” tab ASAP.
True to the core concepts of TED, we plan to make this officially licensed and independently organized conference cover a wide range of disciplines presented by experts that are helping to make the world a better place to live. We hope that all attendees to TEDxSB will be able to significantly contribute to what we plan on being a very interactive program, with many video highlights from previous TED events thrown in. To keep up to date on the planning, speakers, and topics, please subscribe to this blog, follow us on Twitter, and become a fan of our Facebook Page. We look forward to bringing you a great event in 2010!
Hello There!
I’m a student at UCSB and would love to come to the presentation. I volunteer myself to hand wash your dishes for a month, clean floors or any other tasks you may have for me. I could do something pertaining to the actual conference like helping to set up, lifting heavy stages or setting up chairs. Please let me come!
